A DIS Kollegium Close to Christianshavn’s Green Areas

Stads Kollegium is our newest Kollegium, with refurbished apartments of different sizes. At Stads Kollegium, we will work together to create a strong sense of community with many social activities. Since all residents will be new to the Kollegium, you will play a part in building the community and the activities you would like to participate in.


Stads Kollegium is in Amager, close to the green areas of the old city embankments called ‘Stadsgraven.’ You will be close to the bustling life of shops and restaurants on Amagerbrogade to the east, Christianshavn’s charm to the north, and Islands Brygge’s harbor life to the west.

Public Transportation

If you want to explore Copenhagen’s other neighborhoods, Islands Brygge Metro Station and Amagerbro Metro Station are both within short distance to the Kollegium.

The Building

Stads Kollegium is located in a building dating back to the 1950s. Until recently, the building has been used as office space for BASF, famous for producing cassette tapes and LPs.

The building is undergoing renovation, so all rooms and apartments will be newly refurbished by the time you move in.

Stads Kollegium has 39 apartments, distributed across 5 buildings. You have your own room at Stads Kollegium. Rooms are part of an apartment, where you share kitchen, bath, and toilet facilities with the other residents in the apartment. Rooms are unfurnished, while the common living room and kitchen are fully equipped.

Difference between gross- and net measurements:

Net size is the actual size of the residence. Gross size includes this as well as all common areas: i.e. hallways, common rooms, laundry facilities, etc., that the renter has access to in the building. Gross-measurements are also used to calculate the rent level and possible government benefits.

Rent Level

Room  3.147 – 5.886 DKK / month

It is not possible to apply for a particular room and DIS does not consider your preferred rent level when offering rooms.

It is not possible to apply for government benefits to cover rent, as Danish legislation requires access to private kitchen/bath facilities.
